Synopsis SHOOT OR DIE ()
Kate Hartman is a fourteen-year-old girl who lives a life of wealth in excess. She has been pampered, spoiled and protected. Her parents Greg and Gina Hartman own the highly successful advertising agency Blue Sky Media for the last 20 years. In a recent random gang shooting Greg is murdered a year ago. Gina now a widow, runs the company.
Kate seen life through rose color glasses, but that is all about to change.
There is a celebration for Blue Sky Media's 20th anniversary. Kate leaves the party with Chase, a newly hired young executive that has lured her with the promise of going to a Harry Styles concert.
As they speed down the freeway Kate notices they are going the wrong way. She tells Chase to take her back to the party. Chase drives faster. Kate fights with Chase and the car swerves and Chase pulls over at an off ramp. Kate jumps out of the car and makes her way down the side of the freeway. Chase vainly searches for her and then gives up and peels away leaving her stranded.
Kate makes her way down street and soon realizes she is in a very bad part of town. No one is on the streets and the sun is setting. Kate reaches for the phone in her shoulder bag. She has left her purse in Chase's car. Fear fills her face.
Kate could not look more out of place. Soon some gang members led by Carlos and his second in command Roberto spot her. At first the gang members appear to be friendly but soon they become aggressive and things take a very dark turn.
A man named Johnny Greene whose brother was killed by the gang shows up in the nick of time and rescues Kate as she is about to be killed.
Johnny with his combat experience helps Kate navigate through some of the most dangerous gang territory in Las Vegas the rest of the evening escaping, evading and killing their pursuers as they run for their lives. Kate discovers a survival instinct she didn't know she had.
She sees first hand, the hardship of living in the slums, the hungry and the hopeless. For Kate this had only existed on TV, but now she decides to spend her life fighting poverty and violence. If she can get back home alive.
